am in the process of installing aps787c remote start/alarm into a 2005
chrysler town and country (finally) and have some connection questions regarding this cut relay. howie 11 had a post over a year ago addressing this with the following connections:
pin 85 ground when armed
pin 86 ignition 1 only
pin87a key side of starter
pin 30 starter side of cut wire and starter output from r/s
audiovox had a somewhat similar post with the following connections:
pin 86 starter wire from r/s
pin 85 (-) ign. 3/active output fro r/s through diode
pin 87a key side of violet/brown
pin 30bcm side of violet/brown
pin 87 180 ohm resistor to ground
questions i have are: pin 86 has "ignition 1"from one post and "starter wire from r/s" from the other post. im guessing they're both the same -blue wire from r/s 6 pin connector which is + output ignition 1 does connection also get the pink/white wire at ignition switch connected to this connection? next question: pin 30 is starter or bcm side of violet/brown and, according to howie 11, starter output from r/s im guessing the yellow wire from 6 pin connector also at pin30 does this connection also get connected to yellow (starter wire) at ignition switch? next question: pin 85 gets ground when armed (orange wire from r/s)18 pin connector. there is also a recommendation that the blue wire (ground when running) from 18 pin connector also be connected to pin 85 through diode. is this connection necessary or can it go without?
any help for these questions would be greatly appreciated. thanks
