2008 Mitsubishi Outlander Standard key using:
Valet 562T / 556U/W bypass
I am using a Valet RS/Keyless but any generic module would suffice for my question.
DEI 556U/W bypass module.
Q 1. Am I ok using the small wires at the fuse box instead of the small at the ignition switch plug and do I need to actually cut the started wire or is tapping the output side of the high power relay to the small starter wire ok?
Q 2. I am having issues with the transponder ring ( it is way too big) should I cut it and just tap the wires at the plug instead? I'm worried about cutting and splicing the wrong wires. ( I also don't have the 4 wire plug that I think interfaces the Valet 562 -> 566 so I am just tapping the - remote state wire, if that makes any diff)
I used to install alarms and RS's up to the 00's and don't have much experience with immobilizers, standard systems no prob. I NEVER had a comeback, heck my 2 current car installs are well over 10 years old, but they didn't have transponders{or issues.} :(
