Hello
I purchased a used car but the dealer did not give me the remotes.  I looked under the dash and found a remote starter box DEI 4x03 and a bypass module Audiovox FLCAN.  My question is how can I figure out what is the correct transmitter to use with this system(Viper,Python Avitial …)?  It was installed in 2012-2013.  Can I open the DEI 4x03 and look for a frequency? Should I buy another DEI 4x03 with remotes and just replace the one that is in there.  I found one that matched all of the connectors an Avitial 4113LX but I do not know if I will then need to reflash the FLCAN?

Thanks

Can you post a photo of the antenna? Hopefully it is up on the windshield somewhere.
Looks like it might be a Avital 4103.

The antenna is labeled HX Plus. I will try to post a picture.

Sounds like you just need remotes. The only question is if you should buy one button http://www.amazon.com/Remote-Bundle-Automate-1-button-Replacement/dp/B0177D85AE/ref=sr_1_1?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1453768547&sr=8-1&keywords=automate+one+button+remote
Or 4 button   https://jet.com/product/detail/a5bc35ea86ef478d9ef9ea20d2aaa885?jcmp=pla:ggl:badnj_vehicles_parts_a3:badnj_vehicles_parts_a3:na:na:na:na:na:2&code=PLA15&k_clickid=074c600c-a992-43f5-af42-25402d7bced6&abkId=403-887687&gclid=CO623r6exsoCFYEfHwodRZgOpw
What kind of car is it?

The Avital 4103 install manual lists HX antenna in it.
Doesn't list it as HX Plus though
After some quick research looks like a 474L remote might work with your setup. Can be found on e-bay for 10-15 bucks.

Thanks for the help. I ordered a 4113lx one button remote starter. This way I can try the remotes and if they do not work I have the remote starter box that has the exact same connectors as the 4x03. I posted a photo of the antenna but it did not show up.

I will order the 4 button too. Hopefully I do not need to reflash, I would rather try 2 different remotes first. I ran a status chec on the rs it blinked 4 times. Which indicates transmitter shutdown.

I would pair up the remotes to the remote starter before tinkering with anything else.
Do you see or did you find the valet button? You will need to access that in order to pair the remotes.

Yes I have removed the trim to expose the RS and bypass module. I readup on how to delete the old ones and add the new ones. The RS is working since I was able t get a status out of it using the valet switch. The bypass LED also lit when I pushed the button on the unit.
Thanks
