Hi. Just finished installing DEI Avital 3300L alarm system in my Toyota 4runner and seems to work fine. Only problem I have is with the included 2way LCD remote. I can use it to arm/disarm no problem but there is no beep or confirmation on the remote that the action took place. The key icon on the screen remains open regardless of lock status. I can also trigger alarm on the vehicle, siren sounds, but remote will not beep either.
I tried reprogramming the remote with the auto learn function but no change. Any idea what might be going on here or is it a bad remote? Sending signals from the remote is no problem--I just get no confirmation indicators.
thanks!

I'm not familiar with the remote in the 3300, nor am I going to research it for you. But I know the DEI 2 way remotes in older systems can be programed on the remote to 1-way only to preserve battery life. Mine have an "antenna" icon that flashes every 10 seconds or so when it queries the car for status. Your remote may have the same capability.

Ok thanks I will check that out. I didn't see that 1way programming option in reading the manual, but that is exactly how the remote is behaving. Commands sent from remote to vehicle work fine but no return confirmation to remote on anything.
Any other ideas?
