does anyone know the correct color for ignition1 and ignition2 ?
I'm seeing some posts showing ignition1-ignition2 as BLACK / YELLOW-BLACK/ red and others as BLACK/ red-BLACK / YELLOW. Is it important when wiring remote start, or do the two just need hooked up? e.g. if you have ignition1 from remote start connected to ignition2 on vehicle will it cause problems?
thank you

it's the same thing
2 ignition signals need to get powered. One of them is BLACK/ Red, and the other is BLACK / YELLOW.
Both ignition signals most likely also act the same.
    Key OFF : 0V
    Key in ACC : 0V
    Key in IGN : 12V
    Ket in CRANK : 12V
    Vehicle started : 12V
On some vehicles (not sure for this car), the 2nd ignition acts similar to an accessory signal. Meaning, it will drop out during crank but actually initially turns on when the Key is in the IGN/RUN position.
    Key OFF : 0V
    Key in ACC : 0V
    Key in IGN : 12V
    Ket in CRANK : 0V
    Vehicle started : 12V
All said. You want your remote starter connected to the ignition wire that stays on during crank. You will have tach detection problems if it's connected to the ignition that cuts off during crank.
Similar to the saying, "when in doubt, pull out", I would have to say, "when in doubt, pull out the multimeter".

Thanks for the reply. I did determine that ignition 1 is BLACK / YELLOW and ignition 2 is BLACK/ red.
Does anyone know where to connect the neutral safety on the automatics, or is this just supposed to be grounded?

you can directly ground it or pass it through an on-off switch to easily disable the remote start when you service it. Although that's what the Valet mode is used for.
