Hello I have 6 6x9 4 ohm speakers in my boat and an alpine pdx-v9 5 channel that is 2 ohm stable, can I wire the speakers so the amp can handle the final load? Thanks in advance!

2 each on the front or rear channels. 1 each on the other.

I tried this at first, had the front 2 6x9s on channel 1 and 2, connected the 2 rear right 6x9s on channel 3 and 2 rear left 6x9s on channel 4, the amp went into protect as soon as I connected the last set

It should not have. Check for grounded speaker wires or terminals on that last channel you connected.

Your amp is actually stable and has the exact same specs for a 2 ohm load as it does a 4 ohm load so you should have absolutely no problem.

This is from alpines website.

Per channel into 4 Ohms: 100W RMS x 4 + 500W RMS (4-ohm, 14.4V <1%THD+N)

Per channel into 2 Ohms: 100W RMS x 4 + 500W RMS (2-ohm, 14.4V <1%THD+N)
