Alpine SEC-8025A Car Alarm

Hello all! As a newbie to this forum my question is a bit embarrassing. The key fob's for this system finally died so I ordered and received new ones. The programming is fairly straight-forward and involves opening the main unit and pressing the reset button. Here's the embarrassing part: I can't figure out how to open the main unit. I don't want to Brute force this, I'm sure the electronic's are delicate inside. Is there anyone out there with some experience opening this unit? Is there any other way I can reset without opening the main unit? Many thanks for your help!

Hi There! Let me work on that for you. Essentially it's a plastic two piece box with one piece fitting in to the other. On either side there are two tabs used to secure the unit. One thing that's different is the installer bent the tabs and secured it from there. My thinking is they did this to make it fit better in my 95 Honda (now our winter car). I have seen an illustration of it here at the site but let me see if I can take a few Pic's for you to see. Many, many thanks for your help. Regards!!

Hey! I am an idiot! Problem Solved! I was able to turn the main unit over. 4 Screws. Once I opened the unit, I found the reset button. Followed the programing instructions and...no luck programming the new fobs. Bad main unit? Bad Fobs? As this point it's probably a wiser choice, financially to invest in a new unit. But!
