Just read a Web page that said something about tuning a box to the same frequency of the sub. Is this true

A sealed enclosure fb (box resonance) will be > fs. A ported enclosure depends on more than just fs. What sort of system are you designing?

Thank you for your assistance. I'm going to be running the Kenwood dnx890 an arc audio 4 ch. For my highs with 4 type r 6" and 2 polk audio 1 ohm stable amps linked together to push an fi audio 18" sp4 with 2 caps. That sub is 24.9htz fs and I'm building the box now and unsure what to tune the box at. Slot Ported box. I was going to tune it to around 28 or 32 htz.

I suggest following the manufacturer's recommendations. What does the owner's manual tell you are the suggested enclosure parameters for your sub?

I ran the numbers for that driver. In 7 cu ft, port it at 21Hz.
