Thank you. I should have mentioned that I am using D2D mode. The ebrake, brake and door triggers work properly ( the first two will turn the remote start off and the second one activates the alarm, if the doors are locked and opened from inside).
I have shopped/ called and in my city, there is only one shop that would have done the job with T-taps but I like the wires to be soldered; hence, why I am attempting this job by myself.

• Remote start MTS mode failure
The remote emits a failure notification when trying to enable the manual transmission
mode or the vehicle fails to stay remote started when the key is turned off.
Possible causes are:
• Hood Open (gray wire).
• Foot Brake active (brown wire).
• No Parking Brake input, BLACK/ white neutral safety wire not showing ground with parking brake set.
• Tachometer is not hooked up or programmed.
• The unit has not been programmed for tachometer mode
• Toggle switch not installed or not in the ON position.
Soldering is fun!

Thank you Kreg very much for your informative responses. I decided to give this a break and come back to it. Today I re-investigated my system. For future users, it turns out that somehow the virtual tach mode was enabled. Once I corrected that to Tachometer, and reset the system's tach learning, the manual transmission mode was enabled.
The way to enable the manual transmission mode is to have the vehicle running, engage the foot brake, put the gear in neutral, engage the e-brake, release the foot brake, press the remote start, it should flashes 5 times, take your key out of ignition, open and close driver's door, engaged the lock and turn off the vehicle or turn off the vehicle or engage the lock. The manual transmission mode enable symbol ( a stick) will turn on your remote.
Tada! Done!
