Here's a youtube video of an alternative circuit using only one relay contrary to the methods shown on this site for example here > https://www.the12volt.com/relays/relaydiagram57.html
This video details a single relay system > https://youtu.be/XVa0-R86Js0?t=3m39s
Has anyone tried this?

I had no sucess getting any version of a single relay/flasher to sucessfully wig wag. After much head scratching and a little cursing I went back to first princples & learned how relays work and then realised my problem. I had a S2 type relay, that is there is no 87a (normally closed) terminal Alternative wig wag circuit? -- posted image. Alternative wig wag circuit? -- posted image.
My question now is, could I use these 8 pin (yes 8 pin I'm getting confident now Alternative wig wag circuit? -- posted image. ) to control low power LEDs in an automotive setting. These relays have a small physical size and are very cheap.

Starting to get my head round this now :)
I made the world's first 100 watt LED wig wag flashlight which includes a over temperature alarm all controlled by a single 12v car signal flasher.
