Well, I'm new here, but not sure where else to go at this point. I figured the great folks on this site may be able to point me in the right direction.
OK, I KNOW the colors make no difference. I am simply doing a high end install with a particular reason for showcasing the speaker wires.
What I'm looking is some standard 18/16/14 ga speaker wire that has the same colors as many stereo units come with. Colors I'm looking particularly are:
- GREEN/ green-black
- PURPLE / purple-black
- grey/grey-black
- WHITE/ white-black
man I can't find these ANYWHERE, lol. I really only need about 10' of each color combo. I know a lot of home theater stereo systems come with colored speaker wire as well. Heck, I'd be willing to throw somebody on here a few bucks if they have some from an old stereo somewhere, lol.
Where do the stereo manufacturers source this stuff from?
Thanks and any help would be awesome

See if you can find a local dealer that handles the Aamp line. They make a 9 conductor wire that the internal conductors are color coded to match EIA standards. You will have the four colors and 4 with the black tracer and then a solid blue for turn on which you would not be using.

I know when that stuff (as well as later coming out with the 5 wire setup) it made it SO much easier than running 4 sets of 2 conductor and a turn on wire and then later figuring out what wire was what at the ends.
Glad I could help and post back if you can answer someone else's questions.
