hello all, i got a 2003 cavalier automatic. according to the wiring diagram for my car for the idatalink HC2352AC it dosnt show that i need to hook up any door lock or trunk release wires to work...this correct? i want to have remote start with keyless entry and trunk release. also it shows 2 accessories connections 1 and 2 can i just wire them to the same accessory or what? here is a pic of the idata link wiring diagram im referring to:

i would also like to add that im auto mechanic by trade though i dont have any experience with car starters is all and this specific remote start system looks quite simple to install myself if this is all that needs to be wired in.

hey I'm pretty sure the door locks are controlled by data the one data wire you connect on the old 2 to control door locks, truck and the Immobilizer bypass,

one more quick question, i dont actually have to cut and splice into the wires right i just have to tap in them correct like strip back the plastic and solder in or even a tap in connector?

no do not connect the two accessory wires together chey has separated them for a reason, you will need to use a relay to isolate and connect the second accessory wire

yes you just need to strip the wire back and splice in to them and always solder them do not use t-taps or any other quick connector types

i was just looking at the datalink install guide and is looks like they give you a 2nd accessory wire to use in the m1 heavy gauge connector ( pin 4 pink/white wire ) no relay needed
