I'll be installing a viper 5606v with the ads-alca bypass module in one of my vehicles coming up this weekend. I believe I understand where all my wires are landing with the exception of the 10 pin header on the viper 5606 module. Looking at the ads wiring diagram it would appear that at the ignition switch the subaru has and ignition 1 & 2 along with a starter 1 & 2. On the 5606v it looks like ignition 1 & 2 are easy enough to wire up, but I'm a little unsure what to do with Starter 1 & 2. Also, the diagram does not indicate cutting any of the wires at the ignition switch, just connecting up to them. In the past it seems like there was always some cutting involved and the key was no longer directly connected to the starter line.
Any advice would be wonderful. Thanks

There is a VIOLET / YELLOW (-) 200mA STARTER OUTPUT wire on the 24 pin auxiliary harness. Use that for the second starter wire in the car. Since its a negative output from the brain you will need a relay to reverse the polarity.
85- negative starter output from viper
86- constant 12v
87- Constant 12v
30- output to second starter wire.
If you want to hook up the starter kill then you will need to cut the starter 1 wire. Then on the heavy gauge 10 pin harness green goes to the key side of the starter wire, and Violet goes to the starter side of the starter wire. If the car has an immobilizer and you don't wan't to hook up the starter kill, since there is a chip in the key anyway, then just connect the purple wire to the starter 1 wire.

Thanks,
This was kind of the direction I was leaning towards, just wanted some confirmation that my approach was somewhat recommend.
Hoping that everything else turns out smoothly this weekend!

So the install went pretty well. Everything appears to be working, along with the smartstart module so I'm pretty happy. However, I've noticed that if I do not set the parking brake while the car is turned on, the ads-alca apparently will not see that it is set (setting with the car off gives 8 flashes) well should give 8 flashes. I thought the ads-alca would control the parking lights but it appears to not be.

The light output from the viper 5606v goes into the idatalink bypass but the bypass does not appear to control the parking lights. Can anyone confirm if the firmware has an issue or perhaps just doesn't support this feature?
I think I may end up hardwiring the parking lights. The idatalink folks don't seem to want to give any info if your not a dealer....

Issue solved, changed over from W2W to D2D all works perfect now... factory fob even works to arm and disarm the viper system... must say I'm very pleased now!!!
