I have installed a kia factory remote starter and alarm (UP050-AY130) in a 2007 kia sportage Lx.
The kit plugs in to the existing wires with only 3 splices.
(horn-working, brake- working, and rear defrost,- not sure)
When I tested it it all checked out okay except it only cranks but won't start.
I started the car using the key after reconnecting the battery As described in instructions but no start using remote.
I removed the antenna coil and placed the key inside it and presto, the starter works.
This remote is suppose to work with out a bypass but no luck.
Maybe it needs factory programming ? Cant access the trouble shooting as it is on the kdealer.net website and you need a dealer password.
Long story short I have a fortin evo- all by pass(removed from a older grand caravan) and a programmer so I flashed it with the kia perimeters. I wired it up according to the instructions but no luck.
The only question I had was the fortin instructions show the 8 pin connector as pin 2 data BROWN / orange and pin 6 relay WHITE/ black
The wires are reversed so I wired according to the pins.
I later found a diagram for a key-override-all which show'es
the correct colors.
I grounded the while running wire to ground figuring on connecting
a relay through the starter live wire at ignition.
Can this evo-all be reprogrammed for another car or do I need a new one?
any suggestions would be appreciate?

The evo all can be reprogrammed for a different car.
problem is the fortin wiring diagram shows the data wire as pin 2 BROWN / orange and relay pin 6 WHITE/ black
colors are correct but the pins are wrong
Pin 2 should read WHITE/ black (relay)
pin 6 BROWN / orange (data )
Works fine now except I need to come up with a ground while running wire
