hello all,
I have some aftermarket lights i am powering through a 30 Amp relay, i am using the parking lights as a trigger signal.
I want to delay these from shutting off for 10 minutes after the lights shut off, but i would also like to have the time adjustable as well (if possible).
I would like the time to reset if it were to get a new power on signal and stay on while the lights are on and to repeat if needed
any suggestions for such a timer ?
let me know if you need more information from me.
thanks
chris

Ebay is full of adjustable timer switches which you can use to trigger your relay.
Or this on Amazon with a lifetime warranty: https://www.amazon.com/Timer-Delay-Relay-Hours-Cycling/dp/B00PD65UGA
They are expensive, and you'll have to wait on shipping from the UK, but I prefer these (for their standard automotive relay configuration): http://www.altecautomotive.co.uk/timer-relay-fully-adjustable-12-volt--------altt40205-stk-1614-p.asp
That being said, they are rated at 10 amps, so you can use it to trigger a standard relay if you need more than that.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

awesome, thanks for the ideas.
UK one is nice, but you are correct, they are somewhat pricey.
the other is kind of small amperage, only 5amps.
I also stumbled on this one.

think it will work ?
thanks
