See me home lights, 2001 Mercedes CLK

Hi all, I wonder if someone can help. I will start by saying that I am not a genius when it comes to vehicle electrics, but I am also not completely new to it, I have learned a lot over the years and am very capable, have carried out quite a few complex jobs, as well as some custom jobs, however, I don't claim to know everything, hence why I am here as I know you guys do haha :) I need some help with a little project, I have a 2001 Mercedes CLK (W208) and am looking to add the 'see me home lights' feature which some of the later Mercedes and some other makes now have, as in my other Mercedes in the past, I found it very useful. So when you unlock the car, the front fog lights and front/rear side lights come on, and when you lock it, they stay on for 30 seconds or so. I know this is possible through use of relays etc. But I also know that it may affect the CAN Bus and give an error on the dashboard if I am to wire a simple relay or even a timer relay. I am sure this has been asked lots on here, and has been done plenty, so am hoping someone can help point me in the right direction of where to start with it please? Many thanks in advance :)
