Bad idatalink ALCA? Red light

I'm having similar issues as original poster triple checked all wirings and its just alike same red light from module btw I'm working on an 09 Malibu. if you can clarify on the orange ouput wire in terms of did you have to change the wire itself (with connector) or the module. thanksknowledge is power

I figured out mine and here's how I did it. Disconnected the ignition pink wire tap not from the car itself but from the remote start and as I was doing the key sequence when I reached to ignition key turn (after acc) I connected the 12v constant wire I had running from battery to the ignition wire from remote start to trick it into ignition mode then it took the key sequence programming. after the procedure re tap that ignition wire to the car like it's supposed. The remote start pink input output wire wasn't getting power from ignition (input wise) but when your done it works to start the car (output)knowledge is power
