I recently installed Avital 4103LX in a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. For the bypass, I used an Xpresskit xk09 with newest flash 9.JDL v2.06. Everything is installed and works correctly.
Doors function, tach programmed. Headlights flashed twice when learning tach which indicates the signal came from D2D. The bypass learned successfully the key. The Jeep remote starts fine.
So, The issue I have: The Jeep is stored for long periods. It has a battery disconnect attached to the negative terminal of the battery. After disconnecting the negative terminal, once I try to remote start the Jeep it nearly instantly dies. The immobilizer icon(Key in a circle with line) shows up on the dash and the Jeep turns off. If I reset the the xk09 by unplugging it and holding down the program button. It relearns the key and will remote start again.
Is this normal? Is my xk09 defective? Is something wired up wrong to cause the xk09 to malfunction?

TL:DR -- Remote Start doesn't work after battery reset. I blame the bypass but it could be something else.
