I stumbled across this site and was reading all the great info and advise that is give.. I hoping I can get some help. this is as detailsed as possible...
1 have a 99 F150 for the past 2 Years. only ever had 0ne key with the chip. no key Fob. I came home the other day only to find the Silencer Alarm 6900A model literally fell out from under the dash. this was installed by PO I never touched it. didn't even know it was there. I only saw a sticker on the glass and some kind of plug in connector under the dash. I reconnected it where it was Hacked into what I would believe is the ignition started wire Red w/ lt blue strip. There is one Red wire from the unit connected at the top for the ignition starter wire and an Orange wire from the unit connected to the other end of the Cut end of the ignition starter wire. I went to start it and it will only crank. The Theft Light Blinks very fast. I believe this has triggered a fuel cut.   I then went ahead and removed the unit seeing how it was already half out. I removed the red and orange wire and the ground from the unit and reconnected The ignition Starter wire. Still no change and the Theft Light will continually blink fast. any input to either get rid of this unit or reset it please advise. This is my main daily driver for work. Also just last week similar situation with my Dodge Magnum. but that's a different post. thanks in advance.
