Hello, all. I'm new to this forum and a complete novice with alarm systems.
I have purchased the above alarm for use on my 28' trailered boat due to excessive theft. The alarm will be on a dedicated battery. I intend on using several magnetic switches to protect the cabin door and other hatches. I am running two sirens; one in the engine room/bilge and one at the helm. I will use the red LED at the helm. Nothing else will be tied into the alarm system. I have a few of questions:
1. I'm assuming the green trigger wire for use with the magnetic switches. Should these be run in series or should I use a bus bar?
2. Since I'm using two sirens, DEI 513T and 514LN, do I need to fuse the second siren in series? If so, what size fuse ... 1 amp?
3. I understand this alarm has a nuisance prevention feature, which is reset by turning the ignition on. Since I will not be wiring into the ignition (trailer boat), is there a way to use the yellow ignition wire to reset? Maybe a switch of some sort?
4. What size fuse is recommended for the 12 volt constant off the battery? The harness comes equipped with a 15 amp fuse.
5. Is it necessary to install the valet switch?
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

1. Wire them parallel if they are normally closed (which they need to be to send ground to the green trigger wire when magnets are removed), not in series.
2. Wire the sirens parallel after an SPDT relay, using the alarm's siren output to activate the coil of the relay.
3. Yes, you may use a switch for the alarm's ignition wire.
4. Fuses are intended to protect wire, not components. Fuse close to the power source according to the wire size you use.
5. Yes, install the valet switch.
