I have a 2006 Mazda 3. It has stereo only BUT navigation was an option. I just bought the navigation and radio from a parting out 06. Will the optional wiring for the navigation already be in my dash since it was an option? Or do I need to run additional wires?

I seriously doubt the wiring will be there. You will have to get at least the gps antenna. You will have to get the harness or harnesses that incorporate the speed sense and the reverse wires, and connect to those wires.

Yes, I have done more research. If car was not previously set up for this then additional wiring is necessary and an antennae must be added and also
it is not a touch screen so a new control must be installed into center column. So I will just sell the navigation unit and radio unit to someone else, and use my Garmin or cell phone.
