My girlfriend has a 2002 Hyundai Elantra GLS(loaded) with keyless entry. I have began to start installing a stellar remote start module and was almost complete until I COULD NOT find the door unlock wire which I want to use as a negative start initiate with 3 pulses and I also could not find the drivers door trigger wire to have the car shut down shortly after it is opened. Please if anyone can help it would be great, it was suppose to be finished for her b-day today,, oh well!!!  Here is the wiring diagram that I have and I have tested these door wires that I think I found over and over. Yellow or blue and then someone said blk/orange but I could not find that. Exact location would be a big help if anyone knows...Thanks MIke

Notes:

NOTE: Some models have an immobilizer system that needs to be bypassed during remote start.  Use DEI module 555U to bypass.  *1 These wires are only in vehicles with keyless entry. The blk/org wire will test when when moving the driver lock knob, the blue wire will test when moving the passenger lock knob. Vehicles without keyless entry need to add an actuator in the driver door.  *2 The plug is on the front of the fuse box below the fuses.  *3 The plug is behind the fuse box.  *4 The ECM is above the driver kick panel, the tach wire is in pin 66.  Can also find tach at the ignition coils on the driver side of the engine, use either the yellow or green wire.  *5 The data link connector is under the driver side dash under the steering column.  *6 These wires are high current negative.

Thank you Draasch,

Its late tonight but I will try to find that yellow wire next to the heater controls. I originally thoguht it was the yellow wire at that 21 pin white plug by the drivers side kick panel. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow....For the record I still have the car panels open so she has to drive my Transam in the meantime...THIS HAS TO STOP SOON><>> :) Thanks

Yes the lock/unlock wires are behind the ashtray going to the relays on a car w/ factory keyless.. (- trigger)You'll have to pull the dash trim assembly in order to actually get to and work with the wires. As soon as you pull out the ashtray you'll see a harness running behind it with a handful of wires..Your wires will be in it. Good luck,
Mike

OK we have a problem Houston.......     I found the wires behind the ashtray and when I tested it it seems like the one wire door lock/unlock wire pulses only once when you unlock the doors but will not pulse again until the doors are locked again. In other words Im looking to hook up the start initiate wire on this starter and cannot use this. I believe that the locking system on this car goes from a negative to a neautral when locking and unlocking all using one wire. I have to say that I am pretty confused at this point and need to know where to hook this start initiate wire to. I can use either a negative or a positive pulse on the starter for the initate wire. Im assuming that at this point I may have to go directly off a relay or something. Im using a Stellar RS 1050 remote start module and it works when I initiate it manually, not much use if it cant work via remote thoguh.. Any advice guys would be appreciated....

If your remote start has a positive input, check to see if the lock wire to one of the actuators goes to 12v+ everytime the lock button is pushed. That might work better than an unlock wire due to priority unlock functions, etc.

From what Im looking at,, it seems like the whole lock system works off of one wire. Its negative when the locks are open and then dead when there locked. I believe that for example if you cut this one wire the locks would lock and stay locked. This is a wierd setup and I cant tell ya how frustrated Ive been with it already. Hope this makes sense to everyone and thanks for all the advice so far.. : )
