im installing an alarm with auto start on it . ....  on the instructions it asks the following "green wire -to air conditioner wire -connect keyhole on wire". the same wire then connects to the #86 of the relay i really dont undrstand the directions.  ive done reg alarms( without auto start) but they dont ask to conn to the ac and what up with the"key hole on wire"        any help would be appretiated.

Don't know what the alarm means by that. I would assume that the wire would go to a relay and then will act as an ignition wire output like a second ignition. What brand alarm is it.

im installing a remote start alarm .  its a negative door trigger . (negative when door is opened) the problem im having is that for some reason 20 sec after i shut the door it turns negative on its own. the alarm has a feature that the lights flash when the door is open .  so when i turn the truck off and dont activate the alarm after 20 sec. the lights start to flash .it gets on my nerves.for some reason when the alarm is activated this switching of polarity does not affect the operation of the alarm.  can some one help me figure out why the polarity all of a sudden changes could the dome light delay have something to do with it . and wer else could i get the door trigger from.or maybe bypassing the switch that makes the polarity switch.

What type of vehicle is it?  You may have to diode isolate it.

its in a 2003 dodge dakota  i tested the factory vehicle wires with out the diode and it still switches polarity .. i also tested the wires without  the diode and it still switched ......     does the size of the diode matter if its to big will it still switch polarity....
