Hi all, i have a clifford arrow II installed in my car(car came wiht it) It has a shock sensor and and a sensor that sounds the alarm if any door is opened.

I need to turn the sensitivity down on the shock sensor to stop false alarms but when i do the trunk is vulnerable.

Basically what i want to know how can i fix it so when the trunk openes the alarm will sound the same way the doors do?

TIA

You need to hook up the trunk wire to a trigger on the clifford. Check you vehicles wiring chart for the proper wire to tap into. Then check the clifford install manual for the Arrow II to see if it has a dedicated trunk wire, if not, you can splice it into the door trigger wire.

Thanx for the reply,

I dont have an intall manual and cant find it on the clifford site.

I did a little searching and read about having to put a diode on the wire?I'm assuming only if splicing to the door trigger?

So if the alarm has a dedicated trunk wire to hook to the diode is not needed?

I found the chart and the wire color but it says @trunk light?,does that mean i'll have to run a wire from there to the driver kick panel were the door trigger is?

The car is a 93 olds 88

Ok ive done some research on these issues and have a couple of questions....

I'm gonna hook the trunk trigger to the door trigger in the driver kick panel, with a diode.

The wire i'm looking for is light blue(-) @ the trunk light, Is this just one of the wires from the bulb??

Is this wire located near the front somewere as well for easier hook up?

TIA

Yes, the wire is connected to the bulb. It will only be able to be tapped at the light itself. I think this is due to the fact that there is no indicator in the instrument cluster to notify you that the trunk is open.

Hook the trunk up to a gray/ yellow wire on the alarm and you do not need a diode
