I am installing a Pioneer AVIC-D1 unit in a 2005 Mustang GT and was wondering if anyone knows where I can find the Speed Pulse wire to connect the pink lead from the radio?

try looking at the PCM it's a 104 pin connector, pin # 68 WHITE/ orange.  The PCM claims to be in the pass kick panel

Most '05 Fords have teh VSS right in the harness. I know the Metra harness has a pink wire right on it. It's up there for the Speed Sensitive Volume on their "audiophile package"

I emailed Metra and the VSS is not in the harness for the Mustang. Also, the headlight switch does not go to the harness. Metra said that ford uses a signal line to feed this information so it cannot be used for turning on the lights of your head unit.
I also removed the PCM in the kick panel and did not find a connector 104, there are around 5 connectors going to this box, and none of them look even had 68 wires.
I used one of the twisted pair wires coming from the left rear tire. This works some of the time for my Kenwood DV-4100 nav, but sometimes the speed input to the nav reads 0mph when I am driving and my position on the moving map does not change.
I wonder if the speed data going to the speedometer can be tied into?
