I have a 2008 Tacoma that i installed a pretty nice alarm on it, made by directed. I also bout the xk05 transponder. I just cant seem to get it to start. when i hit the remote start, i hear locks and the remote beep and then just doesn't start.

I have the Ungo SR6000 with the directed xk05 transponder which has firmware version:PKT2

Any help will save me some money

thanks

What if the XK05 is disconnected or unplugged, will the truck remote start if you leave a key in the ignition?

Has the bypass has been programmed? Are the data, IMO and IMI wires hooked up properly?

It's always best to successfully install the remote starter portion first, and then do the transponder bypass later.

When you can, report back if the rest of the system works correctly with a good key in the ignition.

when i hit the remote start, the lights come on, ans the alarm does something like it wants to start but no cranking.

Some one did this install on my car so i dont know if they did the bypass or not.
They said they connected it up and connected the transponder and it didnt work.

im just trying to back track

thanks for the info.
If my keys are in the ignition nothing happens,
if i get in the car and touch the brake, then everything shuts down just liek how it should..but still there is no remote start.

it sure sound like a 2nd started issue or a bypass issue what you can do is put the key in the ignition but don turn it just insert and leave it now try to activate the remote start if it start then the issue is the immobilizer if it doesn't start then is the second starter

Definitely sounds like the 2nd start wire is not being powered up when the 1st start wire is. Double check wire connections and run a seperate relay for 2nd starter if it hasn't already been hooked up.
