I have a Delta Vehicle Security module in my 2000 Monte Carlo. I was having problems starting the car, so I disconnected some of the wiring going to the Delta module. I have since repaired the starting problem, but now I want to hook the Delta system back up. I am trying to find out where the wires go to that I disconnected. The only numbers on the Delta module is the FCC number on the back, OARRXAM2000. It has a white, 14 pin connector plugged into the end, and on the side of the module it has a white 4pin plug, a blue 2 pin plug, a red 2 pin plug, and a white 3 pin plug. The three wires from the white 3 pin plug go to the fuse block wiring, and the yellow and red wire from the 14 pin plug also go to the fuse block wiring. These wires were connected to the driver power door unlock switch wire, the battery fuse output wire, and to another wire which I don't know what it is for. (Probably ignition circuit.) The green wire from the white 3 pin connector was connected to the blue wire from the same connector through two resistors in series totalling 480 ohms, and that blue wire was connected to one of the fuse block wires mentioned above. The red wire from that 3 pin connector was capped off. The red and yellow wires from the 14 pin connector also went to two of the fuse block wires as well. I don't want to fry the module or the brain in my car if I hook them up wrong, so I am wondering if anyone out there is familiar with Delta Vehicle Security modules and can tell me which wire is for what on the module. I would think the red wire from the 14 pin connector is the fuse output wire, (+12v always hot,) but I could be wrong. Please reply back with any helpful info and I will be eternally grateful. ___________________________________________ Vegas Electrician |
