Is the special edition (2006) as high quality as the original. The reason I ask is because none of my local music stores carry the original, only the special edition. I'll buy the special edition if you guys (that actually know) say it'll be the same. If not, i'll have to order the original offline. Thanks! *BTW, my wife wants it just as much as me.

Didn't know there WAS a re-release. I'm going to have to check out Amazon, and see what's up with that!

I did find the original through Amazon for $13.04. I'm'a try to find it locally a little more before I order it.

So, I went ahead and bought the new version. The first disc is the original sountrack and the second is just some of the songs done by newer groups/bands -they suck BTW. So my wife and I are pulling away from the store we bought it from and I popped it in her CD player... only after a few seconds I said to her; 'Wow, this is going to sound great in my car.' That it does. It is amazing. I haven't heard such good recording quality, ever.
