| Every time i update my profile it logs me out. I have worked with many forums in the past and this is the first time i have had this issue. Any idea why its doing it? or is it somethign im doing when i update my profile? |

The only time it should log you out is if you change your email address. If you are not changing your email address when updating your profile, please try deleting all cookies set by our forum, then log in again and try updating your profile. BTW, what browser & browser version are you using?

| i am in IE 7 or 8 i know its the newest version. I wasnt updating my email at all i was doing other info on he profile. and it booted me every time. But ill do the cookies thing and see what it does. |

I have only edited my profile a few times, but it always logs me out. IE 8 here. I am on my way to try it in FIrefox and see what happens there.

After doing anything in the profile it always signs me out ever since I started on this forum. IE 6 on this machine. With Firefox I can't log on to the site, so I don't use that browser (don't use it much anyway). It's easier, IMO, to just log back on rather than going into the cookies and deleting them. So this is just a FYI, not a complaint. Actually, I always thought it was designed as a deterrent to changing profile info too often.

| Firefox also logs me out. I too have noticed this from the beginning. I thought it was supposed to do it. Like I said earlier I have changed it less than 10 times. Not a problem at all for me to log back in after. |

It sounds like it's logging all users (non admins) out after they edit their profile. I'll take a closer look at it in the next few days and get back to you.

| after i cleared cookies and history it logged me out still. its not a major issue i just thought id bring it up to you guys. i myslef being a old forum coder i noticed it and was like this isnt right. |

| More food for thought. When I was editing my profile earlier, when I came to a different computer, it had logged me off of that computer also. The main computer is IE8 that if you remember, It occasionally gets logged off for no apparent reason. The other computer is using Firefox, and I never have to log in. But after editing profile on main computer, it logged me out. |

| i just checked this out on a Mac and it logged me off there too. I am thinking there is something wrong in the profile.php file. i am willing to bet a if conditional has a wrong charector in it. Just thought id pass along that i had tried it on a mac. |
