Darren, apart from certain commercials in the mid 80s all Toyotas have low current neg door switching. Yes robertas 123 ignore H2. Also is there an electric trunk release.? H1/10 and H1/12 ignore, everything else on H1, your comments are correct, yes to H1/4 and don't use H1/6, some old Fords Rolls Royce and E46 BMW offhand are the only vehicles needing this. Re the immobiliser I'm assuming by then this vehicle in US spec had an OEM transponder immobiliser so I wouldnt have bothered connecting the immobiliser part, also no diodes needed, the ones in the pack are used over here, we have amber direction indicators (as used EVERYWHERE bar North America) and one powers each side. Green/yellow and green/black in your vehicle. Please no comments about eccentric English and right hand drive, once China and India come on full prosperity stream, add Japan, Sub-Sahara Africa, Australia and New Zealand and left hand drive cars wil be in the minority! |

That's a lot of help from you guys, thank you a lot!
A few more dumb questions:
t&t tech:
"That red/white wire - unused if you have no electronic trunk release"
how to find out what trunk release i have?
"that blue wire, you have to verify with a meter that the door trigger wire is seeing the trunk as well"
Hot to verify it with meter? I mean witch wires i have to touch :) |

My bad howie II forgot about your previous post. Thank's! :)
When i bought celica from states car wasn't brand new and what i received was only a simple key for car starting. This key is used for door/trunk lock/unlock too, didn't received any fobs. |

Well finally had some free time and installed viper into my car. Everything works great (alarm, keyless entry). Almost everything..
First thing. Can't get into basic features menu using valet/program button. All that instructions in manual's page 22 doesn't work. Therefore i can't program 2way remote pager. That one way pager (without a screen) works. The only thing what i can get with that valet/program button is long term event history (page 39). Viper's install manual link. Any suggestions? Could it be a reason of bad wiring?
My wiring:
Primary Harness (H1) 12 Pin
H1/1 Red/White (-) 200mA Channel 2 output (trunk release) >> disconnected
H1/2 Red (+) Constant 12V Power Input (15A fused) >> 12volts / red / + / ignition harness
H1/3 Brown (+) siren output >> siren red wire
H1/4 Yellow (+) switched Ignition Input, Zone 5 >> Ignition / black/orange / (+) / ignition harness
H1/5 Black (-) Chassis ground Input >> to the ground (paint free sheet metal location)
H1/6 Violet (+) Door trigger input, Zone 3 >> disconnected
H1/7 Blue (-) Instant trigger Input (trunk input/shunt), Zone 1 >> disconnected
H1/8 Green (-) door trigger input, Zone 3 >> door trigger / red/white / (-) / driver kick panel
H1/9 Black/white Domelight Supervision Relay Output #30 >> dome supervision / used door trigger
H1/10 White/blue (-) 200mA Channel 3 programmable Output >> disconnected
H1/11 White (+)/(-) selectable light flash output >> parking lights / lt. Green / (-) / steering column (set jumper to negative)
H1/12 Orange (-) 500mA Ground-When-Armed Output >> disconnected
Auxiliary Harness (H2) 8 Pin
Nothing wired here.
Door Lock Harness 7 Pin
H3/A Black/White Domelight Supervision relay Input #87 >> to the chassis ground (door pin circuit negative)
H3/B - H3/G Type B - Three wire (-) ground pulse controlling factory lock relays
H3/B White/Black Lock #87 Normally Closed >> disconnected
H3/C Green/Black Lock #30 Common (output) >> power lock / brown / (-) / passenger kick or BCM
H3/D Violet/Black Lock #87 Normally Open (Input) >> to chassis ground w/ violet wire
H3/E Brown/black Unlock #87 Normally Closed >> disconnected
H3/F Blue/Black Unlock #30 Common (output) >> power unlock / yellow/black / (-) passenger kick or BCM
H3/G Violet Unlock #87 Normally Open (input) >> to chassis ground w/ violet/black wire
And the second question would be regarding immobilizer. I didn't wired it because i found another alarm installed in my car with immobilizer. Can i wire viper's immobilizer? Can two installed immobilizers damage anything?
Immobilizer Wire Connection 3 Pin
A Green/Black Starter - Normally Closed (motor side) >> starter / black/white / (+) / ignition harness (to the starter circuit)
B Green Starter Normally Open (motor side) >> not used
C Green/White Starter Common (key side) >> starter / black/white / (+) / ignition harness (to ignition switch)
