I have a alpine iva-w505 in my 2009 jetta I want to put in a parrot mki9200, the car doesn't have any factory or aftermarket amplifiers I have the parrot piece and the install instructions are quite vague, can I make use of the line out wires from the parrot, and if so how would i connect it to the alpine unit If I can't do it that way then do I have to cut and splice the speaker inputs and outputs to the corresponding colors on the alpine harness Mike |

There should be reverse harness for the OEM harness and also the corresponding harness to go from the Alpine HU to the Parrot. There shouldn't be any cutting, just have to use the proper wiring harnesses available. I think there's only one or two harnesses that you have to buy to make it plug and play from the Alpine HU.

| Jeff, since Parrot uses VW-style plugs, can he plug straight in between the car's wiring, and the aftermarket harness adapter going to his previously-installed Alpine? |

Yes Chris but he should cross check the constant and ign/acc wires, those plugs are called ISO, VW (also Vauxhall/Opel and Peugeot/Citroen) wire constant and ACC the "wrong way". Watch the red and yellows on the Alpine.
Not worth low level connections to the Alpine, how do you switch the Alpine to phone?
P.S. That Alpine has an optional Parrot kit here.

its a 2009 right? would be a 9003 so doubt if the parrot would just plug in without buying a quick connect harness kit for his year vehicle....
looks like QCVW-1 is the appropriate plug and play harness |

Simply falling your quite correct, it's a MOST or quadlock rather than ISO.
