| hello, i have added a set of 55w driving lights to my 2005 Honda VTX1800. they are awesome, however, they are so awesome, they drown out the front turn signals, meaning the turn signals are barely visable. I would like to have the driving lights turn off when the turn signals are activiated and then come back on when turn signals are turned off. Thoughts? |

| Why not use a relay and have the driving light doing exactly what the turn signal is doing? Depending on the current requirements of the driving lights, this may take one relay per side. Are the driving lamps so obnoxious that they would not be good for turn signals at night? |

i was thinking that way but they are too obnoxious to blink and, in PA, it's illegal to have white lights blinking. is there a way to hook up a relay to break the ground when the turn signals are activated? The switch on the handle bar has to be turned on and off, they do not auto cancel. |

The above diagram will provide 12 volts to the side marker lights of a car while the blinkers are blinking. You may have to us this to power a relay that will break the connection of your lights. I will look at it tonight to see if there is an easier solution than the extra relay. |
