i know what you mean. I chose not to add them to my car for that reason, but with how often motorcycles get hit, and the car driver says "i didnt even see him," i decided to add ridiculous lights. There is no way they can say they didnt see me... At least that is how i justify it to myself.

Thanks!
But I know the "didn't see" bit.
BULLSH "You didn't look!"

I did like the passenger being killed though.... ie, the passenger of the Volvo that deliberately pulled out in front of a bike. Despite the bike having right of way (a T-intersection too), the driver figured to be a safely-encapsulated brick.
Alas bike is more of a projectile than a car or pole is.
The bike went thru the passenger door, the rider over the top.
The rider wlaked back to see if anyone was hurt.

Not that I am happy an innocent died, but there is something in me that says I'd rather it was someone that effected the driver than a totally innocent bike rider.

I've had my share of chicken games.
I'd like to say I return the favor in my B-Triple. And if ever I chose to go through a red light in that, and hit a car, well hey - they are the ones in the "dangerous car" - if they too were in a truck....

Oddly enough I found the best ever was SOUND. I couldn't understand why on my old headlight-less GT750 Ducati people would pull over way before I got to them. On my lit RD350 & 400 they never did!
Ans: Sound - loud exhaust etc. Maybe it sounded like the rumble of an outlaw's bike?

Best sound on any bike is loud pipes... it will save your life! Before I changed my entire exhaust, people pulled out in front of me several times a day. Since I changed it, I haven't had one person pull out in front of me. And I promise my exhaust is louder than any sound system you could ever put on your bike.
