We are running the stinger 500/w1000w max power inverter with 8 ga power wire ran right to it. The problem we are having is a line going through the screen (alpine INA-W900). We had it in our shop and when we unplugged it from the power inverter and plugged it into the wall the lines went away. Does somebody make a big enough power filter to run in line with this or is there any other ways of fixing this problem?
I know the 360 runs on 12v so I was thinking maybe its something wrong going from 12v to 120v back down to 12v some kind of interferance. |

Problem is not enough juice.
The xbox360 is the most power hungry of the latest generation consoles. I have mine with a 1000W 30 amp inverter, and a second battery just for the console.(you see that huge power brick attached to the power cable? its a hint).

I did a lot of research before buying it they said you need 400w cont. and this ones 500 cont 1000w max.
so you think we need a 1000w cont inverter?? |

Back when I put mine in (an older 2nd gen model) the problem i had was the AMPs. you see the console i believe draws close to 30 when in full game cycle ( think modern warefare 2 with 4players).
I read the specs on the new Slim x360 model and the power is only 12.5Amps.
Anyways, check your supply, because if you are supplying enough power, then the problem could be the ac ripple showing on the screen. Try running the tv's main power straight from the battery. ___________________________________ "i can install it myself.......what wires go where?" |
