I want a PIR Motion detector with a longer delay. The function would be that of an external floodlight you buy at home depot, but only 12v and only switching a small <2A load.

I can find the PIR detectors but not with time delay. I can find the time delay modules but they are as expensive as the motion detectors.

The cost of both together x qty 4 exceeds what I want to pay as a solution.

I already have IR modules and don't need this as part of my delay dilemma.

SO what I really need is the motion detector specs below with range and delay.

I've considered trying to hack a 120v outdoor unit, but that would be hit or miss.

Hah yeah, we wouldnt want any EBE IR false alarms now would we?

I have a couple of p.o.s. 120v flood light controls from china, but I can't discern how to hack this in to a 12v system.

I suppose on the 12v PIRs I could add an r\c circuit at the relay with a big cap and delay the relay drop out. It doesnt have to be variable, just more than momentary.

That's funny I saw a vietnam era doppler for sale not too long ago. I could have used that atop my underground silo.

Has anyone here hobbied with a PIR? Since the contacts will be open\closed for a short amount of time, this might be a simple 555 timer I can mod the circuit?

Any other idears how to get a 90 second delay with a 12v motion detector?
