I want a PIR Motion detector with a longer delay. The function would be that of an external floodlight you buy at home depot, but only 12v and only switching a small <2A load.
I can find the PIR detectors but not with time delay. I can find the time delay modules but they are as expensive as the motion detectors.
The cost of both together x qty 4 exceeds what I want to pay as a solution.
I already have IR modules and don't need this as part of my delay dilemma.
SO what I really need is the motion detector specs below with range and delay.
I've considered trying to hack a 120v outdoor unit, but that would be hit or miss.
The closet thing I find to what I want to do is this: (I just don't want to pay $100 for it)
High Performance Human Body Sensor Infrared IR Illuminator
This is one IR illuminator inbuilt human body sensor, and the range can reach up to 30m. With the appliance of advanced infrared heat release technology, this illuminator perfectly achieves the effect of ''light-on with people and light-off without people''. It is generally used for the quiet place such as corridors and lobby areas. Not suitable for crowded places.
DC12V input, no need for any accessory, no need for internal battery
Human infrared sensor and light sensor control both
Specific integrated circuit, stable performance, strong anti-interference ability
Reliable quality, non-contact switch control
Numbers of LEDs: 84 pieces
Optimum distance: 30m(90Deg)
Current : 900mA (Input voltage: DC12V)
Input voltage: AC 24V/110V~220V(Optional, Default DC12V/AC24V)
Size:(L X W X H):235mm X130 mm X 185mm
Delay time: 5-88 seconds adjustable (range can be customized) (TIME knob adjustable)
Sensing distance : 0-12m (12m means the axial distance) (SEN knob adjustable)

... we wouldnt want any EBE IR false alarms now would we?
It's not them I care about.
It's them dead 'uns - whether the Buffy types or those cajun eaters.
But that's why I use Doppler - no heat required, and less false trips for the few with body heat (and no alerts if anything is leaving).
Those EBEs have a rude habit of just appearing anywhere anyhow. (Hence why more people carry bottled water.)
