I came up with a very simple way to make a circle jig for my Dremel / Rotozip tool that cost less than $10 total. This same method can be applied to a regular router as well.
Here is the parts list:
- A piece of threaded rod that is the diameter of the guide holes on the base of your router (<$2)
- 4 nuts the same size as the threaded rod(<$1)
- 1 4" x 4" right angle bracket(<$3)
- 1 smaller but wider angle bracket(<$2)
- 2 small bolts and nuts for attaching the two brackets(<$1)
- 1 nail 1/8th inch diameter
This cost me less than $3 because I already had most of these things in my garage so I just bought the nuts and the threaded rod.
First bend the 4" angle bracket so two of the holes are aligned like this.
Then drill 2 holes in the brackets to secure them together.
Drill a third hole in the smaller bracket for the pivot point (the nail should fit tight in this hole).
Now simply put everything together like this.
My Dremel had a threaded hole for a set screw which is the square headed screw perpendicular to the threaded rod. Also the white plastic washer isn't necessary.
Just make it work with what you've got.
Feel free to ask questions if I didn't make something clear. ___________________________________ Dodge Magnum in progress:

Nice, doesn't look bad...I've seen and made a couple that are even simpler and cheaper, but I like your ingenuity.
I've used a couple self made jigs, but prefer my Jasper...:) ___________________________________ Look twice, think thrice, 1 splice/ 1 slice!

I might end up making something similar to that in the future because I don't have one for my Bosch router. ___________________________________ Dodge Magnum in progress:
