NEVER let these batteries die on you while working on it. ive heard of issues with cluster after the battery dies. never had it happen to me untill a few days ago. Just a heads up do not let them die it will make something act up.

Agreed, These cars can be a bit tempermental, I recommend a battery tender/charger whenever installing anything. After a Deck install I had one C6 that would blow hot air when the A/C was on, I disconnected battery, waited 5 mins, then reconnected. Fixed the issue.

I think that is the same with lots of vehicles.
They are getting to be like domestic AC loads - if the break isn't long enough - or it's a brown-out - the load can be messed up (or damaged - eg, aircons, PCs, ...).

Some EFI systems only require a 10 second power out to enter reset mode.
But most systems should be fine after a full 10 minutes of power removal (though it can be much shorter).

And even when my on-board electronics jam, a power-cycle fixes it.

PS - I had 2 Corvettes in the shed today...
