Hi every body, I'm building back from hash a 696 Ducati equipped with an Siemens ECU (Synerject's M3C M3C Mira Costa Computer Club). Before on Ducati there where Magnetti Marelli IAW59M they where coded with the dash and the keys. But with the new models with siemens ECU you can swap aftermarket ECU from one bike to another (with the correct fuel map...),
the immobilizer is between the dashboard, the keys and antenna in the ignition lock.
but i don't want to spend so much money buying thoses to make my futur track bike start...i'd like to put a motogadget Dash board wich is better and cheaper with a M-Lock to start the bike.

I'm wondering if it is possible to start my bike without the oem dashboard and ignition lock ?

Like there is no immo waiting the ECU to start it is possible ?

or the ECU wait a special digital signal from the dash to make the ignition ok ? (but not the immo fonction)

If i hotwire some wires do you think it'll start the engine with the ECU in place but without any dash and ignition lock ?

i can post the wiring diagram if you need and some pictures of the wires...

it'll be very cool to get some help because i'm far better mechanic than electronics...

Many thanks anyway

Séb

Not familiar with that set up, but a car unit tends to use a data singnal from imo box and ecu, so just hot wiring won't work.  Can you leave the key/ant/imo box wired to ecu and just by pass dash?

If you use an aftermarket ecu, then imo is bypassed.

Can you get the ecu reflashed with imo deactivated?

Thanks for you response, i had confirmation by Chris (Rexxer maker) and Heiko (Motogadget maker) and Tn Moto that there is no longer immo on the siemens ECU and no need to the ECU to be flashed to bust the immo.

i can buy for cheap an ignition lock and keys but not a dash.

Chris told me that i can try start the bike without any dash an d keys but how ? he had confirmation that only the dash and ignition lock are linked for the immo.

the wires of antenna goes directly to the dash if i hotwires thoses cables do you thinks it'll work ?

one other bad things is : there is a atmospheric captor into the dash sending info to the EFI via the CAN line.
it shouldbe too tricky to start the bike without the dash...
