I'm looking to install a Parrot Handsfree kit in my wife's '02 Taurus wagon w/o Mach audio.  Unfortunately, it appears Parrot does not make an interface harness for that model.  Has anyone installed a Parrot kit into a Taurus?  If so any thoughts or recommendations?  I assume I'll need to run wiring to the radio control unit in the rear?  I can use the universal wiring harness which would eliminate the need to cut the Parrot wires but I'm not sure if that would be worth it.

Thanks for the reply and info.  The "universal" harness (Model QCHW-1) has plugs on one end that connect to the Parrot plugs and bare leads on the other.  Just eliminates the need to cut the actual Parrot leads in case one wanted to move the system to another vehicle later on.  Does your shop do rear radio vehicles?  Do you mount the Parrot in the rear and use extensions for the control panel or do you mount the Parrot near the dash and run wires to the rear?  Is there a Parrot kit you find most popular?  Do you wire all speakers?   Where's the best place for the mic?

Aren't there buttons you need to access on the device?  I would think you would want to have the device within reach.   If your OEM radio has a mute wire, you can get away with connecting only the front speakers.  If it does not have a mute wire you will need to connect the rear speakers as well.  They have to be connected so that the device will break the connection to the deck so it can mute the sound.
