Hello. Can you please send me a diagram of what you've described here. My additional backup light will be operated when my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan is in reverse or whenever I choose via a separate switch. I don't want the 3rd backup light, (a 12 volt 35 watt utility light) to drain my battery if I forget to turn it off, so having it act like my headlights do when I forget to turn them off would be necessary. I know next to nothing about electronics but can follow a clear step by step how-to diagram and do the necessary work.Can you help?

| So you are planning to use a 35watt back up light? It can be done tapping into your reverse light wire..however you may need to check how many amps the fuse on that circuit is first and if it can handle 35 more watts without blowing.. |

| The backup lights I believe are 3157 bulbs which draw 2.1 amps each. The fuse is 10amps. As I would like to have a switch to control this light when not in reverse wouldn't a separate circuit work best? if yes I need to know how to wire what to what. Thanks |
