| I have a Rover 75 2003 which I want to install a Toad 2to1 alarm. I would be grateful if some one can post vehicle specific wiring info, the best and easiest points to connect to on the vehicle etc. Alarm will also have total closure module. Any help gratefully appreciated. |

I did one about 5 years ago and thankfully can't remember, it's basically BMW 5 series, e.g. extending the lock pulse will, give you total close.
DEI has no info, I'll look on Autodata, if I fail to come back to you today, ring Toad! ___________________________________ Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first.

Most of what you need will be at the back of the lighting switch or behind the glove box. The only bay entry grommet is on the driver's side.
I will be posting the info in the next 5 minutes. Look in Downloads/Manuals section search word Rover. It's for the 06 MG but the electrics were the same. (BMW, the most reliable part of the car). Hope for your sake you don't have one with the 1.8 turbo engine.
To effect total close try grounding the confirmed lock wire (from the lock switch to the multifunction a.k./a. body control module behind the glove box). If you do this with the doors closed and key removed and it doesn't lock then bring up the windows, it will be a wire in the driver's door loom where it enters the car going to ground when you turn and hold the key. This wire also goes to the multifunction module. For the door contacts you will need 4 1N4004 diodes, for the indicators, you will need 2 x 1N4004 for the front repeaters and 4 x 1N5404 diodes for the front and rear lamps. (6 separate circuits as BMW). ___________________________________ Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first.
