Hi, I am trying to wire up an illuminated entry on a 2000 Rodeo. The alarm system is a Code Alarm CA-6551.
I have connected and programmed the Aux output, which sends a ground signal when the alarm is disarmed for illuminated entry.
The problem is, I hooked up the Aux wire to the vehicles dome light wire. Which I am already using on the Door triger input wire.
So now when I close any door right after illuminated entry (dome light still on) and arm the alarm, the system thinks that a door is still open.
How can I wire them up to both use the door trigger/dome light wire? I have diodes and relays laying around.

Use a relay 85 aux 1 from alarm
86 12 volts
30 ground
87 to red/green from car (door trigger)
program aux 1 for dome light supervision (bank 3 #6) |

Go to where you've connected your door trigger, then between your door connection and the dome light, wire in a 1N4004 diode, band towards the connection then immediately after wire in your aux to the door switch wire that way the alarm doesn't "see" the dome light being triggered.

+1 for diode. easier than a relay.

Except.... our first poster might need a relay to boost the current on the aux output!
