| anybody got a simple circuit to keep my acc circuit on for one hour after stopping vehicle? i've seperated the electric windows and radio, just want to keep these on for around one hour when i'm out and about. |

Mark I don't think the Vellemans go for more than 15 minutes.
Also to our poster why? Of course if there is no switch illumination or if it's via LED you can wire the windows permanently.

| it's for my van, when i pull up to do a job i don't want to leave the keys in, as my dog's always with me i leave a window open for him.if the weather turns it's a rush to grab my keys and get the window shut! i'd rather not leave them permanently live although there is no illumination. it would just be nice if i could automate it! |

There will be a 12v+ ignition feed going into each door, cut it and run a constant cable from the fusebox feed via a 15 amp to passenger and 30 amp to driver's side window.
What vehicle?

| I didn't put down the vehicle, it's an Iveco Daily van, but the electric windows are non standard, i retro fitted the fittings from a Mercedes Sprinter,the van has no acc position on the key, the radio is running from two 205ah batteries in the back, i have seperated the feeds for these and would like them to stay live automatically when i switch off the ignition for around an hour,I don't like the idea of the windows having a permanent feed.I've been looking at Velleman kit K2579, the kit has a capacitor of 100 microfarad, this gives up to 15 mins, what value would give me an hour? Also this kit has a push switch to operate it, so I'm going to need a pulse when I turn off the ignition to trigger it! |

From your circumstances, why don't you just cut the supply to either driver's or passenger windows and have a relay trigger a constant feed triggered by opening any front door, hence no need for keys and it's obeying the KISS principle. Done it in my own car and after congratulating myself remembered that BMW and M/Benz did it exactly the same way in the 1980s!
Ign supply to 87a
Constant to 87 and 86
Door trigger to 85
30 out to windows.
Couldn't be that difficult doing the window conversion, IMO, Iveco = poor man's Sprinter.

I was looking for someone that was after an 8 hour delay (and someone replied that National had a chip)....
The National LM2240 is a "programmable timer/counter" for ~$2.
It's a timer with a range of ~10uS to ~2.7 hours (thru resistor & capacitor selection) followed by a binary counter that can divide (extend) the timer by a factor of 1 to 255.
There is also the LM322/LM3905 "precision" timers, but they seem rarer and more expensive.
Not that I'm discounting Howie's suggestion - this is merely an "FYI for the12volt" in case I don't find the other thread...
[ Although with the new ~$3 8-pin PICAXE-08M2 with its >thousand program line capacity, I may have found a universal chip for everything...
Anyone for a UIBI (battery isolator) that also voltage senses with user configurable voltage thresholds & delays?
Then there's electric water pump controllers; (puddle) light dimmers; programmable electronic ignition with option sequential or wasted spark... ]
