What do you have for lock wires coming out of the brain? Do you just have the blue and green or do you have the violet/black, green/black, blue/black? If its just the 2 small gauge wires then you will need relays (or a 451m which will make it easier since the harness will plug into the brain).

the 5701 has flip-flop polarity locks.
use a diode and connect to vehicle.

But even with the flip flop they should have worked by connecting them... just the way he had them connected would have been backwards (lock with unlock button, unlock with lock button)
