| I have a Prestige APS55c remote start on a 99 Honda Civic. The parking lights do not flash or turn on when the vehicle is remote started. Can someone give me a hand fixing this problem? Thanks |

The keyless entry module is white in color, and located in the drivers kick panel. | |
You probably mean APS-57c. Do the lights flash with lock/unlock?
Wire is listed as positive(+). It is red/black wire @ the keyless entry module. The module is white in color & located in the drivers kick panel.
You have 2 white wires on the Audiovox Prestige unit. One will go to 12 volts constant. The other will go to this red/black wire. ___________________________________ Good Enough Isn't! |

| It does not flash with lock/unlock. I can hear a relay clicking when started or lock/unlock mode. Should there be 12 v at the white wire where it connects to the red/black wire? |

Yes, there should be 12V there if the other white wire of APS-57 is connected to 12V permanently.
Did you test the red/black wire to make sure it is 12V when you turn parking lights on? Just want to make sure you have the correct wire. ___________________________________ Good Enough Isn't! |

The parking light input/output connections on Audiovox remote starters sometimes burned out, especially on the older units.
At the brain, you should have two white wires right next to each other.
One of them should rest at positive power all the time. Test that one first.
The other one should be connected to the car's parking lights......
Test it while turning on the car's lights. Does it have power? If so, then you know the connection to the car is good.
Next, turn the car's lights back off, and test the wire while operating the Prestige remote. If there's no power while locking/unlocking, or during remote start, then the unit and/or wire connector is bad.
If it's bad, you can still get a partial fix by doing one of the following:
1. Use the light blue ground-when-running output to a relay, to trigger the lights,
or 2. Use the thick green Ignition 2 output to power the parking lights directly. |
