what is the easiest way to do this? the wiring diagram i have tells me to get the 4 wires from the module above the driver's kick panel.
the plugs were nearly impossible to take out and i was trying to remove the entire module but there is no room to slide it down towards the kick panel after i remove the bolt.
how have others done the door trigger?
there is no place to install the hood pin without having to drill into the frame. i know there is a hood pin wire on the ecu but i was having a hard time finding it.
please advise. |

jandjav,
i got the door triggers working. i used the 2 driver's side triggers in the driver's kick panel and i used the front door trigger for the passenger side. i could not get the red/white passenger rear door trigger to work. when the door was open, it wouldn't go to ground all the way. also, it would think a door was open even when the door was closed. i resolved this problem by running a wire directly from the door pin. it wasn't that difficult and just required removing the door sills and running a longer wire.
also, for the hoodpin, i went to a local hardware store and got a L bracket from the hinge department. all i had to do was drill a bigger hole for the door pin switch and bolt the entire hinge to the side of the engine bay.
thanks for your help. |
