I'm doing a new install in my Mustang. I will be using a MTX Thunder 5500 12 inch sub and a moded Kicker ZR600 amp in this install. I'm not looking for super loud bass but I do want go sound quality.
Starting the box, total air space it 1.25cuft
Giving a idea on how the box will look. This is not the sub I will be using.
Getting started on the amp rack
I going to keep on updating this page as I go on with the box. Check back tonight there should be more pictures up.

Is that a regular acid battery? If so, be sure to vent it so the poisonous gasses dont kill you. Looks great so far! ___________________________________ "People with mullets live 40% longer" - Ricky Bobby
Ya this install is looking slick. Wondered what you were going to throw in the spare tire well but I see the box is just covering it up. Was hoping to see some goodies in there. Keep it up!!! ___________________________________ Alpine 7830 HU-4X100 W McIntosh -2X110 W McIntosh-MB Quart Q's Mid Tweets-4X10" Phoenix Gold Subs-Phoenix Gold EQ215ix-AC Epi-PG Line Driver-Phoenix Gold 1 Farad Cap -Clifford Avantguard 4-2 Ear Plugs

There is no spare tire in the car. The car is only driven to shows or for fun. I only put about 500miles on it a year. ___________________________________ G-Boys Customz

I see that you are using the space for the sub enclosure then. Nice touch. Unsure of the sound it will make but good idea on the space instead of wasting it. Nice job. Will post my amp rack soon as its done using that space. ___________________________________ Alpine 7830 HU-4X100 W McIntosh -2X110 W McIntosh-MB Quart Q's Mid Tweets-4X10" Phoenix Gold Subs-Phoenix Gold EQ215ix-AC Epi-PG Line Driver-Phoenix Gold 1 Farad Cap -Clifford Avantguard 4-2 Ear Plugs

Have some new pictures. I've been working 12 hour days and then trying to find time to work on the car. For the last two days I have just been sanding so it is getting really old really fast.
I cut it out in three pieces and started to sand. The fill the gap I used 1/ 4inch MDF and stapled it on the make the fiberglass and MDF level.
On the left side the pannel is sanded and bondoed. It still needs sanding but its coming along. On the right the pannel before bondo.
Doing a test fit before I start sanding the bondo down.
