Has anyone had any luck or some good advice on fiberglassing in the A or C pillars of your car?  I've done tweeters in the A pillar, pretty easy stuff.  But now I'm wanting to put 4" and tweeters in the A pillars and 5.25" in the rear C pillars.  Just wondering if anyone has any helpful tips so this isn't a pain!  Thanks everyone!

I'm not sure what problems/type of care but here's a couple ideas.

-if your pillars are flimsy, you may need to brace them to stop warping from shrinking

- using stockings instead of fleece may help. its streches alot easier

haha. find the biggest pair so when you cut them you have more surface area. that'll make it more comical than not when you're not only buying those stockings, but they're big enough to fit 5 10 year old children in them to boot.

i think it would be funnier with me just buying the largest pair of panty hose ever by myself.  then people will start judging me and i can give them evil looks!

i would try mounting the ring to the pillar and glassing your 1st and 2nd layer with the pillar actually mounted to the car and allow it to cure overnight.. this way is wont be able to warp as much as letting it sit on the work bench.

I have never glassed any B-Pillars, so I am unsure about this.. but depending on the vehicle, and what you plan on using to finish the panel, I would think it could be difficult to do.
I have done A-Pillars with 4" speakers. Usually A-Pillars are held on with a couple of clips from behind however generally do not wrap around anything.
However many B-Pillars are done by the clips, as well as wrapping around both (front and rear) pieces of the rubber molding. I know in many vehicles the panel has to bend some when taking them off due how compressed the panel is on the rubber molding. If these panels are glassed, I could see it cracking when trying to put it back on and trying to bend the piece back around the molding.
Just my thoughts..
