flashing tail lights

yes, all the lights work fine, but when I use the indicators the tail and number plate lights flash faintly with the indicatoes.

with or against? so do they all dim at the same time the indicators are on or off? if it is while they are on, that means a lack of power, try turning ur interior light on and using your indicator to see if that dimms and let me knowmodest yet effective... thats ok, we all here to help, ummm from what u r telling me here there must be a fault in the wiring to the rear of the car, i'm thinking it would be a grounding issue, if it was a 12+ supply other lights would be affected, another thing you could try is running a wire or 2 from the - of the battery straight to the lights at the back, not sure how u would go with joining them up, or just follow the wires back from the lights and try to find where they ground (attach to chassis) try to find any damaged wire or perhaps a bad grounding point (ie rust or corossion) and either fixed the damaged wire or shift the grounding point to somewhere with a better contactmodest yet effective... I don't have a wiring diagram, but I have traced & checked wires, earths etc. for any faults or corrosion or anything out of place and can't find anything wrong. I will try connecting a new earth to the rear lights & see what happens.
