Between the two, I have had better luck with kicker. Is there a particular reason why you are limiting yourself to those two?

WAY better amps available for about the same amount of cash... Look around, mang!
A better idea? Tell us how much you want to spend, and we can offer some other suggestions, potentialy.

The JL 10001 would spank both of those... As low as $650 online, but for a little more, I'd buy it from a brick-and-mortar for the warranty and the support. For $1300, you can get two of them, and REALLY drive that woofer!
The TC3000 is a fantastic driver, and very capable... Good choice!

Absolutely. If you can get that kind of power, for that kind of money, DO IT! Fantastic amps, both of those choices.
